The tool allows you to view data from any one of these sources and displays the values on an interactive map, which may be viewed to Local Authority District level, in the context of the East Midlands.
This tool was constructed to support the Regional Economic Strategy (RES) to display evidence data to support the strategy document, along with data from the East Midlands Public Health Observatory and indicators from the Audit Commission's Area Profiles.
The RES sets the framework for ensuring the long term sustainable economic growth of the region. The fundamental purpose of the RES is to improve economic performance and enhance the region's competitiveness. It will do this by addressing the market failures that prevent sustainable economic development, and supporting regeneration and business growth.
Data from the East Midlands Public Health Observatory has also been incorporated as this holds information on health and factors affecting health in the East Midlands.
Users may also access data within the Audit Commission's Area Profiles. This provides a wide ranging picture of the quality of life and public services in a local area, bringing together data, information and assessments for every local authority area in England.
