Gaining Value from The 2007 Indices of Deprivation in Lincolnshire

Output Areas

For the purposes of gathering data for the 2001 Census and for future provision of low level statistics, a new geography called "Output Areas" was introduced to allow data to be gathered and disseminated at low level, without causing issues of sensitivity. Output areas fall neatly into ward boundaries and contain a minimum of 100 people, but can contain over 500 in urban areas.
